”Tell me when will you be mine?”

”Quantum, Quantum, Quantum, Quantum.”

Ah, Engelbert Humperdinck. How I would love to get your version of Cuando, Cuando out of my freaking head.

Yep, being the weirdo that I am, I end up getting my grandpa’s favorite “Cuando, Cuando” song stuck in my head every time I hear LG Quantum. I can only hope that you know the song and it’s stuck in your head, too. After all, misery certainly loves company. And boy, do I feel miserable now. Uh, you're welcome?

But enough about me. Let’s talk about you. That and your need for help in removing the back cover of an LG Quantum (argh, there goes the song again!). I’m certainly more than happy to help. I mean, it’s the least I could do for getting an Engelbert Humperdinck song stuck in your head.

As for folks who don’t have the song stuck in their heads, well, I hate your guts. Now onward to the LG Quantum (gah! get it out of my head!) back cover tutorial.

If you’ve ever wondered why humans have opposable thumbs, well, this is your lucky day, buster. Check the side of the LG Quantum and you’ll notice a slit that just feels like it’s made for your nails. I know, I know, now your life will never be the same. Anywho, just get your thumb nail in there and pry it open. Think of it like an oyster. Except less gritty and grimy and gooey. Yes, I'm getting all sorts of undesirable things stuck in your head. If it makes you feel better, I'm getting the same stuff stuck in my head, too.

Accessing the LG Quantum Battery and SIM Card

Voila. Now the back of your LG Quantum is as naked as a streaking Will Ferrell in Old School. With the back cover out of the way, you now have access to the battery and SIM card. Just note that to access either of these, the battery always has to be removed first. Gotta follow the proper steps.

OK, this is so easy that I worry about the future of the human race if anyone says they can’t figure this out. To take out the LG Quantum battery, just place one of your fingers in the indentation next to it and pull out.

With the battery out of the way, you can now simply slide out the SIM card with those good, old opposable thumbs. Thank you, evolution.

Putting Back the LG Quantum Back Cover

To cover up that bad boy, you’ll need to re-align the protective back of the of the LG Quantum. Personally, I’ve found that re-aligning the cover from the side as shown in the image above (as opposed to the top or bottom) was the easiest way to put back the phone’s cover.

Once you’ve got everything lined up perfectly, simply press the LG Quantum back cover on the sides until everything clicks back into place. There you go, now your Quantum, Quantum, Quantum, Quantum is all back to normal. Now if I could only say the same for my Engelbert Humperdinck-infested brain.
